“We brought on Vervet as a partner for our Global Experience programs prior to our 2024-25 school year and that partnership proved invaluable on all of our trips but especially regarding our Belize Global Environmental Stewardship program. Our group arrived to Belize City and was about to go through immigration when our faculty chaperones realized that they had left the hard copies of our signed and notarized Consent to Travel forms at home. The trip leader was able to use the Vervet app to successfully process every student and chaperone through immigration. According to our faculty, it was the ability to quickly pull up a high quality scan of the form and then show the corresponding passport, parent information, etc. all through the app that made the process work. The immigration official even said that had the group not had this access they would have been forced to return home to the US. The official was even able to take the faculty leader's device and navigate Vervet on his own to process each student allowing the adults in our group to focus on the students. We will definitely focus this year on improving our pre-trip procedures to make sure this doesn't happen again but that piece of mind we now have knowing what Vervet can do for us is worth the price."
